The Gateway Company Case Study

How to make a website for two companies in one

Solution: Powerserve Marketing Website in Squarespace
Client: The Gateway Company
Vertical: Non-Profit
Goal: Create website for both Parent and Child Company

“We needed a website design that showcased our newly branded parent company, while featuring our existing Nonprofit Development company. For any other brand trying to achieve specific goals with their site, we highly recommend Powerserve.” Faith Edmondson

Late in 2020, Ashley Ashe and Faith Edmondson came to Powerserve with a unique problem: how to we establish our new parent company, The Gateway Company, while continuing to promote and build our existing business, Gateway Grant Services. Ashley and Faith have years of nonprofit director experience and focus on the big picture for organizations. They strategize and fill gaps with grants and virtual fundraising. With The Gateway Company, they are expanding into traditional business consulting in addition to their non-profit roots. Onboard with helping the amazing duo, Powerserve took on the challenge and delivered a brand new brand AND a comprehensive website that tells the Gateway story and drives leads.

Opening the Door

Using legacy brand elements, including gates, keys and doors, Powerserve explored options that combined a feminine touch and professional iconography. The resulting logos for The Gateway Company and Gateway Grant Services create continuity between the two entities and clearly communicate the brand’s tone and impact.

Finding the Key

By shifting the website narrative from “telling” to “asking”, Powerserve empowers the user to choose why they are visiting the website. This “self-identification” is the critical choice that alters the users experience on the site whether they are a nonprofit or business. Keeping the messages simple and using a “free consultation” call-to-action ensures that website visitors understand what Gateway can offer them and what their next steps should be.

Marketing Websites with Squarespace

By using Squarespace, Powerserve delivered a custom designed template that is easy for Gateway to utilize moving forward. It natively empowers blogging and allows for quick content editing. Our proven process delivered a beautiful website on time and on budget.
